Hikmet is a financial-sector and accounting leader with extensive experience in regulation, professional development and governance in Ethiopia. She is CEO of FSD Ethiopia and previously served as Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia, following nine years as the founding Country Head of ACCA Ethiopia.
Her governance experience includes the Ethiopian Red Cross and the Center for Dialogue, Research and Cooperation. In 2022, Hikmet was one of 50 members of the Destiny Ethiopia Initiative, contributing to the development of alternative scenarios for Ethiopia’s future to 2040.
